Wooh first night in Antigua!
We got to explore a bit yesterday and I went to the Mercado de Artesanias and bought this headband. I even haggled from 30 Quetzales down to 15! :) woohoo
Also last night el Volcan de Fuego erupted! It was crazy we got to watch it happen too. We can see 3 different volcanoes from our house but I guess they’re far enough away so we only get hit by ashes.
Our host family is super nice I’m a big fan. We each have our own room with locks so that’s nice. And the food isn’t bad at all, just kind of bland, I should have brought my hot sauce. We have no phones or internet so I have to go to an internet cafe but it’s super cute! We’re not sure when he have to go into work on Monday so we’re hoping to find out before then hahah. But until then we plan on just figuring out the lay of the land and whatnot.
Hopefully we can meet up with some of the other Americans here. I wonder where they go at nights, there are tons of bars and cafes, so hopefully we can start hanging out with a group of them. I just want to salsa sooo bad
